The Medical Exchange Program promoted introduction in Ukraine a new technique of surgical treatment of ischemic heart disease - off-pump CAB.
After visiting Scott&White Hospital in Temple, Texas, USA within the framework of the Program and due to the subsequent cooperation with famous American cardio-vascular surgeons Charles Raiter and Rendy Bolton, famous Ukrainian cardio-vascular surgeon, chief of the department of surgical treatment of ischemic heart desease of National Institute of Cardio-vascular Surgery named after akademician N.
