On November 22, 2010 an official delegation of representatives of medical institutions of Ukraine under the leadership of the People's Deputy of Ukraine Yuriy Samoilenko visited the University medical association AOU "Policlinico - Vittorio Emanuele" di Catania in cooperation between Ukrainian Charity Fund Medical Relief (Kiev) and Italian charity fund "HELIOS ONLUS" (Catania).
As a result of the visit was signed an agreement on long-term cooperation on the implementation of charitable medical programs whose implementation would improve the quality of medical care to citizens of Ukraine and Italy, will assist in strengthening friendship and cooperation between our peoples.

Improving the quality of health care through the exchange of experience among physicians in Ukraine and Italy and at the same time - strengthening cooperation between two countries.
Agreement was signed between the Charity Fund «HELIOS ONLUS» (Catania), Ukrainian Charity Fund Medical Relief (Kiev) and the University medical association AOU "Policlinico-V.Emanuele" (Catania). The visit of Ukrainian delegation, headed by a People's deputy of the Parliament of Ukraine Yuriy Samoilenko, was held at the Directorate of AOU "Policlinico-V.Emanuele".
Got its start cooperation on some Programs.
Medical Exchange Program will allow the best specialists in the field of cardiac surgery, oncology, plastic surgery, pediatrics and gynecology, etc. of Ukraine and Italy to share experiences on the introduction of new methods of diagnosing and treating patients.
Under the agreement Ukrainian and Italian doctors will collaborate on an innovative charity project "Unified International Medical Telecommunication Space" and on the Program of organization of treatment in Italy of Ukrainian citizens (primarily orphans, disabled and underprivileged children) suffering from diseases that now can not treated in Ukraine.
