Charity Fund "Medical Relief" was founded in 2003.
Charity Fund Purposes:
Training of Ukrainian physicians to modern techniques of treatment and the organization of public health services in the leading domestic and foreign centers.
Oganization of work in clinics of Ukraine of leading foreign experts.
Reequipment of medical establishments by the modern equipment and materials.
Construction of the modern multipurpose hospital working at a world level which could be the educational center for young physicians training.
organisation of seminars, congresses, conferences on new directions in medicine.
With the purpose of improvement of quality and efficiency of treatment of patients, introduction of new progressive forms of medical aid, assistance to equipment of medical establishments with the modern equipment we developed «The Program of the medical charitable help in Kiev».
For this purpose «Agreement about cooperation and the organization of mutual relations" with many scientific and medical establishments of Kiev, the international charitable organizations are signed up.
Dr. Oleksandr Etnis, the president of Charity Fund "Medical Relief" and Dr. John Wood, the president of John Wood Ministries and International Medical Education Foundation, Waco, Texas USA organized Medical Exchange Program in 1998 year for training Ukrainian physicians in American Hospitals and work of American physicians in Ukrainian Hospitals for teaching techniques of operations.
At this moment Medical Exchange Program between Ukrainian and American physicians works for more than 10 years and continues to gain in strength.
We cooperate with American partners in the following states: Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida;
The base for exchange is the regular arrival of the American physicians to Kiev 1-2 times a year and their work in hospitals with training domestic physicians and trips of our physicians to USA. The result of this exchange in Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery AMS of Ukraine - introducing of operation CAB on working heart that has allowed to lower mortality to 0.5 %.
At the present stage the medicine cannot develop isolated in one country, therefore participation in the international congresses and congresses is a part of the training program. Lately due to activity of Charity Fund our physicians had an opportunity to take part in a numerous International congresses, conferences, etc.
It is pleasant to understand that there is an interest to reports of our doctors abroad, this raises prestige of the state.
Developing a new direction in orthopedy, we have organized training of several physicians in Germany, we have carried out the international seminar in the Emergency Hospital during which domestic and German physicians have carried out some charitable operations.
We hope, that we make only a First step in realization of this noble purpose.
